Rugged portable and laptop computers are designed for tough environments, but are built in large numbers with common configurations. Sometimes an application demands a change, which can range from the simple mounting of an external GPS connector to a complete I/O transition to rugged MIL connectors (38999 circular connectors, etc), integration of 1553, Fiber, and more. Commercial laptop manufacturers are not set up to do these type of modifications and many times are unwilling to consider customization for less than an advance commitment of 500-1,000 units. ProCustom was founded to address this need for customized rugged solutions.

We also offer a complete range of environmental and electro-magnetic testing and certification services for our customized rugged solutions that allow our customers to deliver a certified solution to their clients.
Purchasing from us is easy too! You can leverage existing contract vehicles (e.g. TLS, SEWP, 2GIT) or directly via GSA. We are also a an authorized supplier to all the major primes (LMCO, L3Harris, NGC, Raytheon, General Dynamics, etc…).

Our services are implemented using a customization project management system we have developed and has evolved over many years of “good practice” experience, yet is flexible enough to accommodate all types of projects. The project cycle, from initial specification consultation through successful product delivery and long-term support (see graphic below), is optimized to reduce cost and cycle time. This system enables the customization team to work efficiently from small-scale projects to large-scale programs.
